    “Common Entrance Test” MHT-CET 2017 for admission to First Year of Full Time Degree Courses of Technical Education (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Pharm. D.) for the academic year 2017-2018.

    MHT-CET 2017

    The Government of Maharashtra has established “Admissions Regulating Authority and State Common Entrance Test Cell” as per the provisions of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions & Fees) Act. 2015 (Mah. Act No. XXVIII of 2015).

    MHT-CET 2017 will be conducted on Thursday, 11th May 2017 in the following cities:

    Mumbai, Mumbai Sub Urban, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurga, Jalgaon, Dhule, Nandurbar, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Osmanabad, Nanded, Parbhani, Latur, Hingoli, Buldhana, Akola, Washim, Amravati, Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli.

    Test Timings  :  10:00 a.m. to 04:30 p.m.

  • Apply Online

    • Enter all the relevant details carefully.
    • You must have a valid email id. Only one registration is allowed using the same email id.
    • You must have a valid mobile number. Only one registration is allowed using the same Mobile No.
    • Email and SMS will be the standard mode of communication. Please check your email / mobile for updates.
    • You need to upload your scanned photo while registering, hence keep ready a scanned clear photograph of yours. The photograph should be in .JPG format and the size of this photo file should be between 15 KB to 50 KB.
    • You need to upload your scanned signature while registering, hence keep ready your scanned clear signature done on a white background. The size of this signature file should be between 5 KB to 50 KB.
    • Educational details
    • Select the subject(s) you wish to appear in MHT-CET 2018 viz. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology
    • Check all the data filled in the Online Application Form before submitting the same.
    • No changes in Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile No. and Email ID are permitted to the data once confirmed and submitted.
    • Password entered while filling the Online Application Form should be a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 15 characters and must contain atleast one upper case character, one lower case character and one numeric.

    • Provide all relevant details carefully, before submission.
    • An Application No. will be generated after submission.
    • Refer your Application No. for all your future correspondence.

    • Application Fee payment can be made online through Credit / Debit Card, Net-banking.
    • Application Fee payable is as follows :
    • For General Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates : ₹800/- + Service Charges
    • Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. : ₹600/- + Service Charges

    • At the time of transaction, if the amount is debited please do not try new Application. Please wait for 24 hrs and try for the payment once again in the same registered email id.
    • If the amount is not debited, you can try the payment again.

    • On payment of the Application Fee, the same will reflect in your Application Profile.
    • You may take a print of your Application Acknowledgement form generated, for your records and future reference.
    • No documents/Forms are required to be sent to MHT-CET office.
    • Bank Account Details (for financial transaction), Mobile Number and E-mail Id are only for official communication by MHT-CET.

    • Issue of Hall Ticket (through Candidate login)  :  24th April 2018 to 10th May 2018
    • Date of Exam of MHT- CET 2018  :  10th May 2018
    • Declaration of the Result  : On or before 03rd June 2018
  • Scheme of Examination

    Date of Examination: The examination will be conducted at various centers in Maharashtra on Thursday, 10th May 2018.

    Syllabus, Weightage and Pattern of Examination: Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology for the MHT- CET 2018, is declared by Director, Technical Education, Mumbai vide Letter No. 2A/ADM/2017/1157 dated 04.10.2017 and is as follows:

    • The questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
    • Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII curriculum while setting the question paper.
    • There will be no Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at par with the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based.
    • MHT-CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and each paper will be of 100 marks. Details are as given below:

    The question will be set on a) Whole syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects of Std. XII

    b) syllabus of Std. XI as mentioned below:

    and Mineral Nutrition, Plant Growth and Development
    Section II –
    Zoology
    Organization of Cell, Animal tissues, Human Nutrition, Human
    Respiration

     

    The candidate seeking admission to Engineering and Technology degree courses, it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for both Paper I and Paper II.

     The candidate seeking admission to Pharmacy/ Pharm. D degree course, it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for Paper II as well as in Paper-I and/or Paper-III.

     Candidates will be provided with separate OMR answer sheets with each question paper. At the end of each paper, candidate will hand over the OMR Answer sheet to the invigilator. Candidates are permitted to take the Question Booklet outside the exam hall only after the completion of test.

  • Eligibility Criteria

    ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR ENGINEERING / TECHNOLOGY, PHARMACY, PHARM D. COURSES

    All the candidates passed / appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET 2018. There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT-CET 2018.

    (A) Candidature Type.

    (1) Maharashtra State Candidature. – A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

    Type Eligibility Criterion
    Type – A (i) Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of
    Science Examination from a recognised institution in Maharashtra State;
    (ii) Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra;
    Type – B A Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother
    is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.
    Type – C A Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.
    Type – D A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but
    whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of
    Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
    Type – E Candidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognised institution located
    in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or from Maharashtra, residing in
    the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border area and whose Mother tongue is
    Marathi.

     

    (2) All India Candidature. -The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category.

    (3) Minority Candidature – The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

    (4) Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature. -a) The children of citizens, who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from unsafe border area of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities; or b) The children of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) or Indian Police Services (IPS) or Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu and Kashmir to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application for admission; or c) The children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible under this category; Note: However as preference is given to the J & K Migrant candidates appeared for JEE(Main) 2018 over MHT-CET 2018 are advised to appear for JEE(Main) 2018.

    (5) Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National – These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHTCET 2018. Note:- (a) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2018 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B. Tech. However All India Candidature & Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2018 as Score of JEE(Main) Paper I shall be preferred over MHT-CET 2018 for admission to B.E./B. Tech. (b) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2018 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature All India Candidature, & Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D.

    (B) Eligibility Criterions as per notification dated 24 April 2017 or its amendment from time to time :

    First Year – Engineering / Technology (1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate. –
    (i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;
    (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with
    Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and Obtained score in MHT-CET 2018.
    Or
    (ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
    Or
    (ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC. and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject;
    (2) All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates. –
    (i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;
    (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with
    Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and Obtained score in JEE(Main) Paper I or MHT-CET 2018.
    Or
    (ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
    Or
    (ii)Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject;
    First Year – Pharmacy Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates.
    (i) The candidate should be an Indian National;
    (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together;
    (iii) Obtained Score in MHT-CET 2018.
    First Year- Pharm D Maharashtra State Candidature and All India Candidature Candidates,
    (i) The candidate should be an Indian National;
    (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together ;
    Or
    (ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to
    Maharashtra State);
    (iii) The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks in the MHT-CET 2018.

     

    Note:

    (a) Eligibility criteria for Candidates belonging to Person with Disability: In addition to the basic qualification mentioned above, candidate who is suffering from any one of the following permanent disability is eligible to seek admission against seats reserved for Persons with Disability candidates (i.e. Candidate who is visually impaired (blind) Candidate type- P1, Candidate who is speech & hearing impaired (deaf & dumb) Candidate type- P2, Candidate who has orthopedic disorders, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Spastic Candidate type -P3), provided they submit a certificate clearly stating that the extent of disability is not less than 40% and the disability is of permanent nature.

    (b) Admission to Mining Engineering course: Female candidates are not eligible for admission to Mining Engineering course

  • Declaration of Results

    The Competent Authority will conduct the examination, evaluate the answer sheets and declare the result. The result will be declared on websites http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mhtcet2018 as per the schedule.

    7.1. Provisional Answer key of each version of question paper & OMR Answer sheet will be made available on website http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mhtcet2018 as per schedule. The OMR Sheet will be available to each candidate after entering Password and Registration ID

    7.2. The Competent Authority shall invite application for admission and after verification of documents and eligibility, publish the Merit Lists as per the Rules.

    7.3. The downloadable mark sheet will be made available on website http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mhtcet2018 as per schedule.

    7.4. While declaring the result, if a Candidate remains Absent in any one of subject in PCM or PCB, then the Total Marks for PCM or PCB will be declared as ‘ABS’ (Absent) as the case may be.
